Bringing Closure to this Chapter of Albert Burke's Life 8-23-24
To all my family and friends, thank you for your support, encouragement, prayers, and the love shown regarding the passing of our dear friend and brother Albert Burke. His sudden demise affected us all. Our emotions and tears were shed together due to his unexpected loss, he was truly a great brother and friend. Although the event was painful, Our Father has blessed and helped us to comfort each other through unity and where there is unity we find strength.
A special thanks to my Patrick family for your understanding as to why I cannot be in Greensboro to attend the family reunion that Albert and I looked forward to. Thank you all so much for accepting and treating him with the love of family, he certainly felt the love and showed us his love in return.
To each of you who shared with me how inspiring the messages that were posted pertaining to Albert were, I thank you. When I arrived in North Carolina and was informed of his passing, I then understood a prophecy that was spoken to me had come to past. The prophecy was spoken by a prayer partner while she was praying. "The Lord has an assignment for Evangelist Burnett pertaining to Brother Burke when she gets to Greensboro". I had no idea what she meant while praying until it was told to me that Albert had passed.
Although my assignment was finished in Greensboro, little did I realize the Lord wanted me to complete something on this end in New Jersey. Despite the opposition while in North Carolina, I am going to complete this chapter of the book about Albert. Opposition is to be expected when we’re doing the work that the Lord has called us to do for His glory.
We should not judge others by leaning to our own understanding and carnal thinking, rather we should always be grateful to the Lord for using others as an instrument in edifying the body of Christ and His Church. Know that God places people in each life to serve His purpose, and for His glorification. This helps us to grow - As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend (Proverbs 27:17).
Recently, the Lord allowed a situation to happen that caused me to look for photos. While searching, I found many photos of Albert. Actually, my niece had given me some photos a few weeks prior to the North Carolina trip; I texted them to Albert and he posted them on his Facebook page shortly before he passed. I intend to post pictures tomorrow showing captions of places that Albert and I visited, some photos were with Albert and my family, our fiends and me.
Another chapter of his life he shared with us is currently being developed at the present time by some who are connected with Burnett Ministries. The commentary to be published was a vision that Albert and I had some years ago, and it spilled over to our Bible study group. We will finish studying and writing about what Albert taught us pertaining to God's “Perspectives” versus man's perspective.
This will be an awesome legacy of Albert’s teaching that will continue through us as we study and write about the book of Romans, which is considered to be the most exhaustive book in the Bible, written by Paul the apostle. This is a privilege indeed! I truly am grateful to the Lord for the many lives He allowed Albert to touch and the lives that will continue to be touched when his teachings are published.
Lastly, the quote “A picture is worth a thousand words” – you will see that this quote is true when it comes to Albert.
