I am continuing with the series that pertains to those who some scholars have basically called unsaved in the parables of Jesus, and they said people in these particular scriptures were going to hell.
The parable is about judging who is wheat and who is tare. Only the Lord knows who is saved and who is not saved. Judge not, that you be not judged (Matthew 7:1). This scripture is about judging someone’s heart.
But the scripture in 1 Corinthians, chapter five is about immorality in the church; a brother committing fornication and it was known. Paul warned the church and gave them instructions how to handle this situation.
Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared.
So, the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seeds in your field?” How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, an enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’
But he said, ‘no, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them.” let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them but gather the wheat into my barn" (Matthew 13:24-30).
Internet: The parable compares the kingdom of heaven to a field where an enemy sows tares among the good seed. The tares represent false believers or influences that are not evident until the harvest. The tares are then separated and burned, while the wheat is gathered into the barn
Notice that the wheat and the tare look alike. That’s why no one has the right to judge someone else. The scriptures indicates that no one can determine who is saved (wheat) and who is unsaved (tare).
Please stop saying people are not saved because they may not be acting like a Christian; only God knows the heart of every person. I used to hear some people say this: “The ones you think are going to heaven may not get there.” I say this: “There are some who are acting like they are not saved, but they will be going to heaven.” The best advice for anyone who is judging another person is to make sure you are right with God.
