Stop Spiritual Hunger- Eat Healthy Portions Daily 9-3-24
Have you ever been on a diet to improve your health? I have, and it has done wonders for me, praise the Lord! A situation came up that jeopardized my health which caused me to have a new mindset. It is important for me to remain in the best health possible to fulfill the destiny that the Lord has purposed for my life.
Many afflictions have come and they went, glory to God! (Psalm 55:22). I press diligently on a daily basis to grow more in God’s Word which also brings me closer to Him.
In order to walk in health and prosper as our souls prosper, we must have a balanced spiritual and physical diet.
Criteria:
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, so that you may observe what is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success (Joshua 1:8-9).
One must be hungry for the Word of God because it is good for the soul. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). Eating spiritual food causes us to prosper and be in health because our souls are prospering. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 2).
A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water (Psalm 63:1).
There may be times when we feel like David, but Isaiah had a two fold answer: Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters (Isaiah 55:1). It’s for salvation and it is for the children of God who may feel like David did.
The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail (Isaiah 58:11).
For those who need to be born again, below are a few scriptures.
Whoever is thirsty, Jesus gives water that never runs dry. But whoever drinks the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14).
Jesus is also the Bread of
Life. And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst (John 6:35).
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you of all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them (Ezekiel 35:26-27).
I want my cup to be filled with more and more of the Holy Spirit as I continue to feast off the
Living Word!
