Hold Unto the Word of God – God Will Never Fail You 10-14-24
We are living in critical times, with so much evil and false doctrines on the rise, If one did not know Crist, it would be scary. Yet, Jesus Himself told us what to be aware of and not to be shaken by these things because they must come to pass.
These are some people who held on to God’s Word –
The three Hebrew boys chose to hold on to God, even if it caused them their lives. The king sent out a decree that at a certain time everybody would bow to the golden idol, but the three Hebrews boys refused and they were thrown into a fiery furnace. The king saw a fourth person (the Lord) in the fiery furnace. “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!
Therefore, I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.” (some of the verses in Daniel, chapter 3). Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon.
Daniel chose not to compromise. Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you. “Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So, Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatsoever was found on him, because he believed in his God.
And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den (Daniel 6:21-24).
Job – whatever he suffered through Job trusted the Lord. Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. (Job 13:15a)
Brothers and sisters, God has not changed. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). “I will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5b).
My brothers and sisters, when you are faced with challenges or obstacles, hold to God’s unchanging hand, and He will bring you out. God is in control of everything.
