The Problem is Sin, Not Skin; the Answer is Grace, not Race 9-19-24
Jesus died for all. Our nation needs Jesus; so do all people. Let’s talk about this skin issue which becomes a sin problem when racism is involved. Why? Because no person is better than the other. Did you know that every human being has the same blood that was inherited for every human’s forefather Adam? Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned (Romans 5:12).
And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth and has determined their pre appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings (Acts 17:26). Regardless of the type of blood, it came from that one man Adam, the father of all humanity. Therefore, the problem cannot be the color of a person’s skin, it has to be a racist sin.
Definition of racist- prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism by an individual, community, or institution against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized: the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.
Racism is an issue that has existed for thousands of years. Examples: The Jews looked down on the Samaritans. A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans (John 4:7-9).
Internet: Samaritans and Jews: Throughout the Bible, tensions between Jews and Samaritans are evident. The Jews considered the Samaritans as "half-breeds" and often viewed them with disdain. Despite this, Jesus challenges such prejudices and offers a vision of inclusivity, where love and mercy know no boundaries.
Peter looked down on the Gentiles, when God used the vision to prepare him to go to Cornelius’ house. Peter points out that it is unlawful for a Jew to become friends with or visit a Gentile's house, but that God had recently taught him to never again consider non-Jewish people as uncommon or unclean. This was the meaning of the vision of the animals. (Acts 10:9-15).
God has a solution to every problem. The solution is grace, not race. If you have been saved by God’s grace, there should never be a race issue. However, the devil came to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10); he came to divide and conquer
.
And the devil hates God and His people, so he does everything he can to cause chaos between the saints.
Why don’t we try to get along with each other? After all, if a Christian brother or sister is racist, he doesn’t love some other brothers and sister, which shows where the person’s heart is. The truth is, they don’t love God either. If a man says, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar: for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? (1 John 4:20).
