God is First, He is Not Second, Third, or Last 8-28-24
God definitely is not anyone’s co-pilot. It really sickens me to see “God is my co-pilot.” The definition is a second pilot in an aircraft. If anyone thinks that God is their co-pilot, it means they are first and God is second.
Jesus said I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last; there is none before Him, and there will never be who can compare to Him. He is the beginning and He's the end of everything. In other words, everything is wrapped up in Jesus Christ.
In fact, God does not want to have second, third or the last place in our lives. He wants us to revere Him to the highest, and glorify Him only, not ourselves. How can anyone be in the main seat of a steering wheel on any means of transportation, and say God is the co-pilot.
They may be behind the wheel on the driver’s side, but they cannot do anything unless the Lord helps them. In other words, they don’t have the power to function at all, without Christ being in charge and helping them with everything they do.
I believe this erroneous statement comes from people being ignorant of the Word of God. It is embarrassing for someone to say God is their co-pilot. It also is belittling; taking from God what belongs to Him only.
My friends, it is the same as taking God’s glory. God said He would not share or give His glory to another (Isaiah 42:8, 48:11b). That’s what happened to Lucifer and he lost his position in heaven; instead of remaining the son of the morning [light-bringer], he became God’s enemy, and our enemy (Isaiah 14:12-14).
The same thing happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. He was so puffed up with pride that God brought him down. Finally, the king recognized and acknowledged this awesome God……Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down (verse 37). (Daniel 4:28-37)
Watch those titles, especially reverend- He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name (Psalm 111:9).
Internet- The word reverend is found only once in the Bible, in Psalm 111:9, where it refers to the name of God. The word is derived from the Hebrew word yare, which means "to fear" or "to respect"1. The word is also used in the Apocrypha and the New Testament to describe a modest man and a reverent woman, respectively. However, the word is never applied to a human leader or minister in the Bible.
Ps. Whatever I post from the internet is what I already believe, which is confirmation. Think about it; are you putting someone equal to God?
