God Doesn’t Call the Qualified; He qualifies the Called 9-9-24
Yesterday I posted a message pertaining to my ministry calling which has been evidenced and confirmed by God and people.
Today I will share a word pertaining to those having been evidenced and their call was confirmed. Perhaps this will help and encourage others to understand their true call. Below are examples of people who were unqualified, but God qualified them.
Abraham- When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly.” 3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations (Genesis 17:1-4).
Deborah- Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, was judging Israel at that time (Judges 4:4).
Samuel- Now the Lord came, stood, and called at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.” Then the Lord said to Samuel: “Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle. (1 Samuel 3:10-11)
Isaiah- Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.”
Jeremiah- Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations (Jeremiah 1:5).
Anna- Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of a great age and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem (Luke 2:36-38).
The Disciples- Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him (Matthew 4:19).
Paul, Call to Apostleship- But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it. And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia and returned again to Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter and remained with him for fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie.
Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. But they were hearing only, he who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy. And they glorified God in me (Galatians 1:11-21).
There is a saying- Some were called, and others went. It is necessary to discover your call (ministry) and walk in it.
Caution – Knowing and walking in your specific call is important, because the day is coming when we must give account of what we’ve done. If anyone operates outside of their call, they will lose rewards (1 Corinthians 3:11-15). Nothing can change your salivation, but there will be a loss of rewards.
