Showers of Blessings 12-15-24
Yesterday I posted a message about several ways God has been good to me. Actually, it was the first part of today’s message.
Although I praise the Lord every day, the past eight days have been blessings that were overwhelming. I have a bonus niece (one of many) who compliments my camouflage tights; she said had some brand-new ones my size. (fitness clothes, and a few gorgeous outfits).
The beginning of the blessings started Friday, December sixth; many more were added Saturday, December seventh; my truck was packed with clothes. That was not all; on Thursday, December twelfth, I picked up another bag and a bin of outfits. I shared my first two blessings with my prayer partners; one texted me and asked me to share this on Facebook, and I told her the testimony was going to be shared this weekend.
When I shared the initial blessings with them, the count of bottoms was only forty-nine pieces about the same number of tops (approximately one hundred pieces). I matched them up since many were not in pairs. The ones I picked up Thursday were sets, along with a few dressy outfits.
Let me back track and tell you what happened prior to me receiving the blessings that were so numerous I stopped counting. I talked to the Lord about a desire to have some more clothes. Little did I know that they were going to be fitness clothes. Yet, I am into fitness, and I am going to therapy; therefore, these types of clothes are appropriate. They can also be worn other than going to therapy and exercising, especially if a person knows how to hook them up.
Back to the additional blessings. Initially there were three sizes, but most of them were my size. My niece asked me to give the two other sizes to whoever could use them, which ended up being four other recipients, praise God!
Although the Lord had all those beautiful blessings with my name on them and with the store tags still on them, He also had some blessings with their names on them, glory to God! The count was numerous, and the approximate number was calculated about the same as the original, which was another hundred or so pieces; in total more than two hundred pieces. By the time I finished cutting tags off and trying the clothes on two times, I was one tired sister.
That’s not the end of my testimony, some of us seniors from our apartment complex went shopping at Boscov’s in Voorhees. I purchased a few items and then went to the shoe department: "O’ boy." I saw these fashionable shoes that I was tempted to buy; paid for them with my bank card, knowing that my money was getting funny (at least I thought so, but God's supply never runs out!).
Before arriving back at the apartment complex there were a couple text messages between a dear one and me. She said I would be receiving something though Cash App. Friends, when I opened my Cash App account, it was one cent more than what the shoes cost. Tell me God ain’t good. He’s good all the time. That’s why I wanted to share His goodness; no rocks are going to cry out for me!
Ps. I read on Facebook about preachers asking people to Cash App them money for their birthday. I pray that all of you, including those preachers will allow my testimony to be an encouragement; that you should not be asking people to bless you. I truly trust God; He definitely supply all your needs and even give the overflow to those who are obedient.
I pray for all of you, I also pray for and thank my niece and the other loved one for being obedient. After I finished writing the message and copied it to my ministry blog, another blessing came; someone blessed me with a $35.00 spiral ham. I was planning to purchase one this Thursday.
God is Incredible!
Oops! I almost forgot- several other blessings came through Friday and yesterday! Showers of blessings for sure.
His handmaiden, Betty A. Burnett
