This is a follow up message from yesterday pertaining to Tithes and Sowing Seeds (offerings); got the hand closed tightly; nothing can go out and nothing can come in when it comes to abundance.
I stated that personal offerings could be used to help those in need.
Offerings can also be used to sow seeds (money) on good (fertile) ground. If you are being blessed by a ministry, the Lord wants you to sow seeds so the ministry can bring forth a greater harvest of God’s Word.
Also, those who say that the tithes were from the crops, but that was because they didn’t have money like we do today. What was produced from the land was the increase. I am clearing this up and letting anyone who says tithes are not for today, is based on peoples’ opinions and not Biblical facts (the truth).
These are some scriptures that speak about sowing seeds (offerings) and reaping the benefits: The Word of God tells us it is more blessed to give than to receive. I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak.
And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive ” (Acts 20:35). This means having a willingness of heart and not giving to get in return, yet the Word of God tells us to give. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you (Luke 6:38).
God has always used the principle of sowing and reaping – He started with Adam and Eve. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Genesis 1:28). If they had done what God told them to do, there would have a greater return.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith (Galatians 6:7-10).
You will reap what you sow, more than you sow, and greater than you sow (Quote from the late Charles Stanley). This works both ways, whether one is sowing good or bad. It works for me on what the world considers a limited or fixed income. God’s promises are so true and He has proved it over and over; so many uncountable times. I am reaping so many incredible benefits.
Warning- God won’t bless seeds that are sown on bad ground; He wants us to be good stewards of His money. You can determine what is good or bad ground by your level of maturity. Yet, the Lord wants us to grow to maturity so we can receive greater blessings.
Have you ever heard this quote? :God won’t bless no mess” If you are sowing on bad ground, you are limiting God’s blessings in your life.
Tomorrow, Lord willing, “Attending a Local Assembly”
