When People Bring Up Your Past, Tell Them Jesus Dropped the Charge. Amen! 10-3-24
There are people who still refused to let your past go. Some will say negatively;
“I remember when he or she did this or that.”
It’s not as bad when the ungodly tends to hold on, but when it comes to those who profess to be Christians, that is something altogether different.
I don’t mind telling anyone about the story (testimony) behind my glory -God is glorified. Out of my mouth comes this: “If you knew me before I got saved, you would say it is for certain that Betty has changed. Like most of us, we did a lot of ungodly things that come with the sinful life. It’s a blessing when any of us tell how God delivered and set us free; this encourages others, and they get free.
Thank the Lord for those who are not ashamed to tell others because it gives them hope! Many times, I have shared stories of others who want people to know about their struggles and how they overcame and were victorious because of Christ.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound (Isaiah 61:1).
Thanks to all my brothers and sisters who support and tell me how you see the love of God shine through me, and that I don’t choose to compromise my spiritual values for anyone. Although I must say, I miss the mark (fall into sin everyday), and thanks be to God that my falls are not counted against me.
For those who continually say negative things about others (I too have been guilty- getting better; not where I used to be), find something good to say about others. Also, those who are fault finders are miserable. Do you remember the saying: Misery loves company? These types of people are the very ones who call the kettle black.
Why not change that kind of mindset and be a people builder, rather than pulling others down. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye (Matthew 7:5).
As my late mother “Catherine Patrick Wells’ would say “God wants somebody that’s real! Continue to be real and don’t let the devil use others to say ugly things about you. These types of people are full of guilt and they try to take the spotlight off themselves to make others look bad.
I am so glad that man cannot charge me for anything I did in my past because all the charges against me have been dropped by Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. When the Judge declared me innocent, I can never be charged for that same sin crime again. So, there is nothing anyone else can charge me of, because God is in charge of my life.
Ps. This is not only for me, but also all of you who experienced something similar; I’m just personalizing it.
