Vote! Tomorrow is Election Day11-4-24

This has been a strong issue for many years and especially with God’s people; when it should not be. One thing I’ve learned over the years when it comes to being in ministry, is not to debate over anything. Perhaps some people don’t realize what the Word of God says about debating and talking against Kings (Presidents) and all who are in authority.

Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior (1 Timothy 2:1-3).

When that happens, we are actually being in defiance (resisting) of God. Brothers and sisters we don’t realize how dangerous this is. Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.  Therefore, whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment [punishment] on themselves (Romans 13:1-2).

It is wrong to think badly of others, and even more so when we express it to others. What kind of Christlikeness is that? I believe those who are debating are holding personal feelings against the person or persons in authority for whatever reason. If the principles of God (the Gospel) were taught and politicking from the pulpit, people would be mature enough to know better and share with others as my leader does, and so do I; that God is Sovereign and He is in total control of everything. With that being so, there would be no reason for debate or even trying to sway (influence others) to agree with you.

Since we have a personal relationship with Christ, it should also be our personal decisions in who we think is best choice for our nation. The greatest thing anyone should do is pray!

When one knows better and refuses to change (do better) the consequences are greater. One of my friends said this: “When you know better, you do better”

I’m trying to help you as well as myself, because the more I study and search out truths, I see things that need to be changed in my life. The key is being open to the truth and having a desire to change.
