We are Made Completely Whole Because Of Jesus Christ (Part 1) 8-14-24
Some people do not understand what it means when the Word of God says Jesus made us whole. I have known for many years what to be made whole means, but to make sure that I am right (what I have been taught), I check out what others say based on what I already believe. When they are saying what I believe to be true, this is my confirmation.
Internet confirmation: Stripes symbolize the price Jesus paid for our redemption. Just as Jesus was wounded and bruised for our sins, His stripes represent the physical and emotional pain He endured on the cross. It is through His sacrifice that we can find forgiveness and reconciliation with God. The stripes remind us of the costly nature of our redemption and the significance of Jesus’ sacrificial love.
Jesus took care of both our spiritual and physical needs. He bore our sins and gave us His righteousness, and our bodies are healed by His wounds. Isaiah’s prophecy of Jesus shows how closely forgiveness and healing are related.
To be made whole biblically means to be a complete unit, with each part intricately interwoven with the other parts1. Spiritual wholeness is not dependent on our actions, but on an acceptance of God’s acting on our part in the life/death/resurrection of Christ2. To be whole and holy means to be dedicated to God with purity of thought and action, and to serve God using the gifts and abilities we have been given3
This relationship between forgiveness and physical healing is also expressed in Psalm 103:2-Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.
Below are scriptures that I use to confirm that Jesus paid the ultimate price for our whole being; spirit, soul, and body. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all (Psalm 34:19). He sent His Word, healed them, and delivered them from their destruction (Psalm 107:20). That includes diseases that destroy our bodies.

God gets glorified when we are healed. Jesus healed a man who was blind from birth - Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. The man answered and said to them, why, this is a marvelous thing, that you do not know where He is from; yet He has opened my eyes (John 9:1-3, 30).
John wrote - Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2). There was a condition to what prosperity meant- One’s soul has to be prospering for him or her to be in health. It is important to know the Word, have to faith to be every Word of God to be true, and you will grow into a higher level of understanding, which happens as your faith increases. Lord, open their blind eyes, that they may see.
