Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

The scripture in Proverbs 3:5-6 is widely used. One of my Bible study teachers uses it often, and I started taking notice of it more than before. I would say it aloud when the scripture came to my mind. That verse has become a part of my daily scripture quotes.
This is what happened, I began to break the scripture down according what it to me, rightly divided.

Trust – means to have faith – we walk by faith and not be sight. Trusting in God is when one does not lean to his or her own understanding. This means to take you eyes off the circumstance, which is natural, and look at the situation through the eyes of faith which is spiritual.
When we look at the Almighty Sovereign God who is in total control, then we are at peace. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3). We have the peace that surpasses our understanding. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you (Philippians 4:7-9), because we are trusting God our Father. Jesus gave us the peace.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27), regardless of what may come or go, even if things seem chaotic, we look to the hills where all our help comes from, because our help comes from the Lord. I will lift up my eyes to the hills from where my help comes. My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2)

When we go through these steps, with trusting in God, He will direct our path. The only way the Lord can direct our path is to trust Him with all our hearts. This means that we don’t put restraints or restrictions on Him. Remember the Word – Hebrews 11:6 Our faith must go beyond what our natural eyes cane see. Remember this brothers and sisters, we are spiritual because we belong to the Lord. Therefore, stay focused on God, and trust that every Word of His is true.
Blessings!
