I received this for today, following up with yesterday’s message “Be Careful Who You Follow” I believe it would benefit those who are confused about false leaders and those who are taking God’s glory.

The Lord not only said we should have no other gods before, but He also said “I Am a Jealous God; My name is Jealous! “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

“You shall have no other gods before Me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them.

For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God (Exodus 20:1-5a). Remember when I wrote that some of the Old Testament is not for the church. Well, this one is! For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14).
The Ten Commandments is also connected to the law of Christ- Jesus said on these two commandments hang all the law and prophets -LOVE - “Teacher, which the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”(Matthew 22:36-40). This means that everything we do is to be based on LOVE (1 Corinthians, chapter 13). In other words, if we center everything on LOVE, that takes care of it all.

Or if you are in a certain aspect of ministry, are you putting yourself on the same level with the Lord, by calling yourself Reverend, Papa, Daddy (Abba), Father? Papa, daddy, (meaning Abba).
Jesus called the Father “Abba”- And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.” Paul used “Abba”- For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”(Romans 8:15). This means to have intimacy. The Jewish young boys addressed their fathers as “Abba”
The topical Bible- The concept of intimacy in the Bible encompasses a deep, personal, and often spiritual connection between individuals and between humanity and God.
Friends, after reading what the Word off God says, are you guilty of putting someone, or things above the Lord God Almighty?
